Podfic rec post, extremely multifandom. Even if I say so myself.
In no particular order:
Dark Angel
All the King's Horses and All the King's Men
Written by
alyse, read by
twasadark. Logan/Alec, 1:46:45.
This is the one Logan/Alec story I found and liked. I like it a lot. Even better when recorded. I kinda want a sequel for this. Badly. Anyone?
CSI
Fibonacci
Written by
rageprufrock, read by
2naonh3_cl2. Nick/Greg, 0:47:08.
AU, with lots of angst. I haven't watched a CSI episode in years, and I don't know what even made me consider downloading this. I'm glad I did. It hurts, but it's hopeful, too.
Ironman (Movie)
For Today or the Rest of My Life
Written by
calikocat, read by
13th_blackbird. Pepper/OMC, Pepper/Tony, 0:47:46.
I'm not in the fandom. All I ever did was see the movie, and that was a while ago. I can't tell whether or not this really is in character, but I like Pepper so much in this, and her dynamic with Tony even more.
Burn Notice
Michael/Victor 'Verse
Written by
bergann, read by
fearless_jones. Michael/Victor, 0:53:54.
There really should be more Michael/Victor fic. Really. Why isn't there?
The X-Files
Nighttime Visitors
Written by Sylvia, read by
sly_hostetter. Mulder/Krycek, Scully, 0:07:09.
Hilarious crack, with a great sarcastic Scully-voice.
Supernatural
Brother Lover
Written by
twentysomething, read by
definestrange. Dean/Castiel, 0:27:48.
Jealous!Dean is a thing to behold, a weird combination of sad and funny.
NCIS
Office Romance
Written by
shetiger, read by
catwalksalone. Tim/Tony, 1:23:24.
I find myself starting to like this pairing, and this podfic helped a lot with that. I like how this draws from canon events, sometimes provides missing scenes, and shows a relationship development that I can believe.
Stargate Atlantis
Fireball
Written by
celli, read by
shaenie. McKay/Sheppard, 2:34:27.
NASCAR AU. This might be my new favorite SGA podfic. How have I never listened to this before? The story is engaging and funny and incredibly well researched. (It seems to be to me as a complete layman, at least.) And this is one of those fics that works even better when read out loud. And the reading is pretty damn great.
Smallville
Yellow Means Slow
Written by
rageprufrock, read by
2naonh3_cl2. Clark/Lex, 0:28:16.
This is totally not something I would like and go around recommending. Usually. It's in second person, which generally prompts me to hit the back button pretty damn fast. It's just not my thing. Also, this is not a feel-good story. Still, I found myself liking it a lot, read out loud (fabulously) like this.
Merlin
Truth is a Whisper
Written by
seperis, read by
crinklysolution. Merlin/Arthur, 2:55:08.
Who doesn't love a story about rumors running wild? Also, there's blushing Arthur and cunning Merlin. This is just the right thing to cheer you up on a rainy afternoon. Trust me.
