This is the second batch of Supernatural recs. Again Dean/Castiel, unless otherwise indicated.

And I Will Walk On Water by

This is a deliciously long fic (122k words) that goes AU after the season four finale. I especially love the small and awkward steps Dean and Castiel take towards each other, the friendship that builds slowly and turns into something more. Also, the author brings up some really interesting ideas on Lucifer, his views on God and a possible plan for Lucifer to get one over Him. Warning: There's mention of torture and noncon.

Dean Smith/Castiel. Missing scene-ish fic set before and during the events in "It's a Terrible Life". Told from Castiel's point of view.
And this deserves extra special mention: a gen Psych/Supernatural crossover

Told from Shawn's POV, this is a really clever fusion that doesn't even have to put all that much of a spin on canon. It's very much in character on all fronts, too.

Knocking over a glass of milk does not equal starting the apocalypse. Sam knows this. Metaphors are awesome, but this is definitely a case of them being carried too far.
He also knows that there is no sane way that a story about him knocking over a glass of milk can have anything to do with the reason why he is currently kissing an angel.
Except it does.
And he really, really hopes he has time to explain himself before he gets smote.

Castiel tries out this 'being human' thing for a day, and we get to watch him experience a usual Winchester day off and be a little enlightened in the process.

After listening to this, I kind of want a new series that features Dean, Sam, Ruby and Castiel teaming up to fight the good fight, sharing motel rooms and slowly filling the swear jar. They're so much fun like this!
